Camp KidAgain:

July 25-28, 2019

(with option to add on two days until July 30)

Pinawa , MB

A mindful summer camp-like experience guiding women to re-connect with  joy through play, nature and friendship.

If you’re a woman somewhere in the middle of your life, chances are you’re experiencing at least one (but likely more) significant life transitions.

  • kids leaving home

  • job change or retirement

  • change in or loss of relationships

  • changes in your body

  • caring for aging parents

Along with these changes, you may notice a disconnection from yourself, from your joy, from the things that really matter to you, from your dreams for the future.  You may hear a quiet voice that calls you to pay attention and take time to reconnect.

Playful Activities + Nurturing Environment + Reflection  = Re-Creation

Spend three (or five)  fun days and relaxing nights renewing yourself and reconnecting with your playful side  at the Nurtured by Nature Retreat and Playhouse.

It’s no fun feeling stuck with the responsibilities of always having to act like an adult, in a pattern of doing the same old “supposed-to” things that do little to make your soul smile.

Our Camp KidAgain Retreat is intended to find the just right middle ground between the freedom of childhood  and mindful, guided growth that comes with the wisdom of midlife. We trust that play and nature therapy walks will be our greatest teachers. Then we add just a hint of therapeutic life coaching by facilitating intention setting, group discussion, and reflective learning to ensure that the lessons learned find their way back into your regular life.

The Camp KidAgain Retreat is designed to support you to express your child-like spirit and nourish your body and soul.

  • It’s a space to let go of adult responsibilities and self-judgement.
  • It’s an opportunity to remind yourself just how brave and resilient you are.
  • It’s the chance to have fun, do what brings you joy and connect with your authentic self.
  • It’s a setting where you can fully immerse yourself in nature for healing, connecting and learning.
  • It bring together other like-spirited women who are committed to personal growth, healing and self discovery.

“At Camp KidAgain I got to do all the things I wanted to do and met some really great women. I got away without it costing me a fortune and the location was nice and close to Winnipeg. It was a nice relaxing experience with fun activities that I had been neglecting because of my other commitments. I especially appreciated being taken care of. That was a well needed treat!”   Wendy F.

Here’s what previous Camp KidAgain Retreat campers had to say:

“When I saw the invitation to the Camp KidAgain Retreat I knew right away it was something I had to do. I had been looking for an opportunity to re-connect with the best of summer but I couldn’t seem to find it…until I came across Camp KidAgain. It offered a setting that was comfortable and designed for me to escape home, spend lots of time outdoors and enjoy being with other women like me, as I did as a kid at summer camp.

The joy that came from hiking, painting, campfires, and tubing made me more mindful of the value of play and I’m committed to making it a part of my daily life with a fresh confidence in my ability to try new things. I made new friends and the “campers” are staying in touch and enjoying supporting each other beyond our retreat experience.

My advice to any woman who is looking for a safe space to just “BE”, without the daily obligations of being an adult, is to go to Camp KidAgain. Patti and Amy were dedicated to ensuring that all needs, big and small, were exquisitely attended to throughout Camp KidAgain. It’s a gift of self care you deserve. It will nurture every part of you.”   Joanne K.

“I wanted to have fun doing things that I haven’t done in a long time or had never tried before. Camp KidAgain provided me with the opportunity to be active and do some creative things with a completely clear head and just be present in the moment. The camp was a nice balance between fun, challenging and creative.”   Suzanne J.

“The Camp KidAgain experience was great for me.  As an adult and in a relationship, life can get mundane. This experience helped me find ways to just have fun. It doesn’t have to be something elaborate; a walk can be fun. We have forgotten the simple aspects of life that make us happy.  I so much enjoyed being around a group of women.  Patti and Amy made sure everyone was well taken care of and no one was left out of the group. There was something for everyone.”   Dawn K.

“For me, this opportunity of Camp KidAgain was about taking time for myself and letting myself be challenged by new opportunities and connecting with other women with similar interests.  The setting in Pinawa, the range of different activities, and the lodging created the perfect place to relax, get away and truly be a kid again!”  Karen B.

“I so needed to get away from the city and just have fun. I wanted to forget what the year brought and just focus on what’s next on the agenda.  Fun, fun, fun and fun.  I did it all without alcohol!  Tubing, canoeing, hiking, DIY Sushi, crafts, colouring.  Seriously, I sat there colouring and it was so peaceful. Something I hadn’t experienced in a long time.”   Ann F.
